Market Square is a $220 million, 570,000 square foot mixed-use development consisting of ground floor retail, eight stories of offices, four stories of condominium housing with 225 residential units, and five levels of below-grade parking. It's two city block development on Pennsylvania Avenue directly opposite the National Archives and adjacent to the Archives Metro Station in Washington, DC .As Director of Development for Western Development Corporation, Mr. Beeke planned and managed the project's day-to-day development activities.

This project required negotiations with the Pennsylvania Avenue Development Corporation (PADC), the Navy Memorial Foundation, the Commission on Fine Arts (CFA), the National Capital Planning Commission (NCPC), the Architect of the Capitol, and the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA). The project was completed in 1989.
